Saturday - Great America!

(mom is typing, Brendan is dictating)

On Saturday we went to Great America (in Santa Clara). My very first ride was the invertigo roller coaster. It was the biggest in the park. I had never been on a roller coaster before this. I was really scared, and when the ride began I thought it was really fun. I also went on another roller coaster (The Demon) twice. I really the upside down roller coasters. THere was also a water park, but it was a little too cold to enjoy it. Near the end, mom bought me a lollipop shaped like a swirly stick. It was huge. We got season passes, as it was only a few dollars more than the single ticket. Now we can go a bunch of times. We were there for almost 9 hours. Can't wait to go back.

Love you all
Brendan.

Camp #1 (the first week) GO WILD!

(mom is typing, Taylor is dictating)

Hi all! We had a really fun week this week at camp. The topic of the week was GO WILD. THis means that all week we learned about animals. Gramma, Itouched a baby alligator and a python! We got to see alot of exotic animals and our camp has a bunch of (stray) cats around the park. We made a little home for the stray cats in a hole in the tree. We made little dinosaur diarama (DINO-rama's!). We learned about the stages of a butterfly and how it starts from a caterpillar (I made mine look like Pokemon :-)). We got hand held microscopes to take home, I can look at Brendan's skin up closeEEEEEWWWW (I am just kidding, its not gross).

and Gramma, Brendan has not tried any fish yet.

Love you all!
Taylor

Farmer's Market Day (Sunday)

Today we went to the farmers market. I got to try strawberrys and I liked them. Then we went to Target. We got a few things there and that was about it. Afterward we went to the pool. A very lazy day.

Day 2! The exploratorium and the sourdough factory

OK, so both the kids are absolutely beat right now, so Mom is writing the blog for Saturday.

Today the kids got up and we went back to San Fran. We took the BART to the city, then hopped on a bus using our City Passes. We rode through China Town, and now Taylor cannot wait to try dim sum. So we went to the Exploratorium, what a wild place! The kids were there for four hours and still they wanted to see more. It was a complete hands-on factory with all manner of science stuff.

From there we went back to Fisherman's wharf and went to the Baudin Sourdough Bakery Factory and went on a tour of the history and making of sourdough bread.

The kids were completely beat after that, so we headed to the train and for the apartment.

1st day in Cali!

Yesterday was our first full day in California. We had lots of fun. We road the train to San Fransisco. It took a while but we got there. I ate lunch at a place called Hardrock. After lunch we went to an aquarium. I saw a bunch of diffrent types of fish. Then I got on a boat, there wasn't many seals. The boat went under the golden gate bridge and around Alkatraz. After that the day was about over and we went home.

Mom's notes:
The kids had a lot of fun today. After the very long plane rides and delays, we made it to SF on Thursday night. The kids were tired so they found their new Webkins and went to bed. They woke up to a beautiful SF morning. We rode the train (BART) in to SF, then took a Muni Cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. We walked around the pier a bit and went to the Aquarium and then to a bay cruise, which took us up to Golden Gate and around the Alkatraz Island. The Seals are mostly migrating right now, but there were about 7-8 lazy ones :-). We tried to go to the Bourdin Sourdough tour, but they were closed for a party. We are headed back to SF today to go on this tour, go to the exploratorium, and finish some touring around the pier. Way to much to see in the area for one day!

I forgot the camera yesterday, so no pics at this point. I am going to bring it today for sure!
